Recently, in a notification issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), it has been said that if any person fails to link PAN with Aadhar, it can cause trouble for them.

However, it has also been clarified in the notification that if the PAN is linked with the Aadhaar card after the deadline, then the PAN card can be used again after informing the date of linking the Aadhar number.

So let us tell you with the help of below steps how you can link PAN card with aadhaar card?

Step 1. First of all, you have to visit the Income Tax e-filing website, whose link we have given you.

Step 2. Then you have to click on the link Aadhaar.And enter your PAN and Aadhar number.

Step 3. In the next step, you have to mention the name entered in your Aadhaar.And also enter the mobile number registered in Aadhaar.And you will get an OTP.

Step 4. If your mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar, then you can write ‘I have only year of birth in Aadhaar card’ here.

Step 5. In the next step, you have to tap on “I agree to validate my Aadhaar details with UIDAI”.

Step 6. Then enter the captcha code for verification.And select the option of Link Aadhaar.
After doing all these steps, your PAN will be linked with Aadhaar.

So let’s also know that how can you link PAN with Aadhaar through SMS?

These steps are especially for those who do not have the facility of a smartphone.So that those people can easily link through SMS.

Step 1. So in the first step, you have to give space by writing UID PAN in the message box.

Step 2. Then you have to give space by writing 12 digit Aadhaar number.

Step 3. And in the last, you have to write your 10 digit PAN i.e. Permanent Account Number and send it to 567678 or 56161 from your registered mobile number.
